Marina Kitaychik

VIOLIN

Marina Kitaychik studied at Moscow Conservatory and holds BM and MM from Mannes College of Music. Her teachers include Alexander Vinnitsky, Nina Beilina and Todd Phillips. She studied quartet with members of the Shostakovich Quartet, Borodin Quartet and Orion String Quartet. As an orchestra musician Marina played under distinguished conductors such as Mistislav Rostropovich, Valery Gergiev, Curt Mazur.

Within over 25 years of the teaching career, Marina’s students won many local and international competitions such as American Protege Competition, Vivo international Competition, Charleston International Competition and many more. Many of her students have gone to study at the prestigious universities such as Yale, Emory, UNC Chapel Hill, Williams College and Manhattan School of Music.

Currently Marina is a member of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and maintaining her private violin and viola studio in Stamford, CT.
