A native of Fairfield County, Harry Phillips IV holds a Bachelor’s degree in music performance from Purchase College Conservatory of music. During his college career Harry studied tuba with Morris Kainuma of The Lion King on Broadway, Andrew Rodgers of Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show, Kyle Turner of The American Symphony Orchestra (Principal) and The Orchestra of St. Luke's(Principal). Harry has been performing since his early teens. He has toured with groups all over the country and played for packed stadiums. In 2011 Harry performed a completely sold out show at The Guggenheim Museum for The Watermill Quintet under Robert Wilson, Director of Einstein on the Beach. In 2012 he performed with The Trummytones, opening up for Paul Simon as well as the Wailers. Harry is currently employed as a freelance tuba player in the tri-state area as well as a teacher of piano, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba at The Whitby School in Greenwich.
