From Fairfield, Connecticut, Jonathan Sibrava has been playing guitar ever since he was 12 years old. Entirely self taught, Jonathan continues to further his knowledge in music every day through various studying methods. He has studied the playing abilities and techniques of numerous guitar players and musicians, enhancing his knowledge of the various techniques needed to excel in playing the guitar. Some of his musical influences include Edward Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth, George Benson, and Shawn Lane. Jonathan also plays the bassoon, and has played in various local symphonic orchestras, most notably the Fairfield University Symphonic Orchestra. He is proficient at playing and teaching all styles of music, and is always learning more in order to become a more versatile guitar player and musician. Jonathan strives to make the learning process of the guitar rewarding and motivating, all while making certain the student is having fun. When he’s not playing music, Jonathan is an IT technician, and loves to tinker with computers and other electronic gadgets. He has also built computers and fixes computer related issues.
