| Emily Fang | |
| Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Emily Fang has performed throughout her native country, the U.S. and Europe as a chamber musician and soloist in numerous concert series and festivals. She was the prize winner of the Young Artist Music Competition in Taiwan. Mrs. Fang received her Graduate Professional Diploma in Cello Performance from the Hartt School of Music (Hartt Talent Full Scholarship); MM in Cello Performance from Ball State University; BA in Cello Performance from Taipei National University of the Arts, Taiwan. She studied with Mihai Tetel, Terry King and Sergei Mnozhin and received her Suzuki training from Nancy Hair, with whom she co-hosted a cello program in Newton, Massachusetts. She had master classes, chamber coaching and orchestra concerts with Richard Aaron, Yehuda Hanani, Anthony Elliott, Alison Wells, Miami string quartet, Lions Gate Trio and Pianist Martha Argerich. As a passionate and dedicated educator, Mrs. Fang was on the faculty at several high schools and elementary schools in Taiwan. She is now a certified Suzuki cello teacher, teaching at The Music Makers Academy in Manchester, CT, Company ‘N Tempo Theatre & Dance in Cromwell, CT and Music & Arts in East Hartford, CT.
